How to measure your glass fencing

12mm toughened glass is the most common thickness of glass used for both pool and balcony areas. Glass pool fences are typically frameless glass, while many glass balcony fences are installed with a 25mm square rail across the top of the glass panels.

Chances are we have a Plonkit to suit your application. If in doubt, simply measure your glass fence and order your Plonkit.

  • 12mm thick frameless glass fencing

  • 12mm thick glass fencing with 25mm square capping

  • If your glass fence looks like this it is more than likely to be 12mm toughened frameless glass, used for both pool and balcony areas. Suitable products:

    Plonkit by the pool: for your frameless glass pool fence

    Plonkit on the balcony: for your frameless glass balcony fence

  • If your glass fence has a metal rail or capping across the top of the glass, it is highly likely it is a 25mm square capping rail, most commonly used on balcony's and comes in a range of finishes, including stainless steel, black, and wood finish. Suitable product:

    Plonkit on the Balcony: for your framed glass balcony fence with 25mm square capping.

    Note that the Plonkit is not compatible with round capping.

Pool fence regulations

Plonkit has been specifically designed not to breach Australian pool safety guidelines (such as QLD Development Code MP3.4 Swimming Pool Barriers).

The product clips temporarily on the inside of the pool fence, above the designated 'clear area' and not within the Non Climbable Zone, aligning with the technical requirements outlined in the pool fence guidelines.

Adult Supervision: Use only under adult supervision. Please ensure that children are not climbing or running nearby to avoid risk of personal injury and/or of knocking the product and items on the product.

Remove the product when not in use.

  • Mount the pool fence product or the balcony fence product as
    per the instructions provided for each product.
  • Do not use if the product or table is unstable.
  • Use only as a temporary serving table.
  • This product is intended for temporary use only and should
    be removed from fence when not in use.
  • Use the product only as described or pictured.
  • Do not climb, stand, sit, or lean on the product.
  • Do not use the product in strong winds.
  • The maximum load capacity of the product is: 8kg / 18lbs.

Pool Fence Product 

  • The Plonkit by the pool product is designed to be mounted on
    a 12mm frameless glass pool fence.

Balcony Fence Product 

  • The Plonkit by the balcony product is designed to be mounted
    on frameless or framed glass balcony fence with the appropriate mounting leg:
  • For 12mm frameless glass.
  • For framed glass with 25mm square capping.

Easy to clean

Gently wipe the surface with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth and a solution of warm water and a mild dish soap. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.

Dry your Plonkit with a soft microfiber cloth.
